Stencil Roses or "Disney" Black & White Roses

I've been wanting to write up this absolutely gorgeous Lularoe Unicorn pattern for quite some time now. The small sample size in the data had been holding me back. Well, that and considering when you search past sales data on eBay for "Lularoe Roses" returns almost 14,000 results. But I as able to refine the search to get that number down to a reasonable number so that I could comb through for these leggings.

This unicorn is known most frequently as either Disney Black and White Roses or Stencil Roses or Stenciled Roses. Or, any combination thereof such as Disney Black and White Stenciled Roses.

In my opinion, it is the most beautiful of all of the rose patterns (and there are many, many, many). A couple of things to be aware of if you are chasing a pair of these Lularoe leggings:

1. Stenciled Roses do come in kids sizes. Always double check what you are buying/bidding on as kid sizes are not always obviously noted in auction titles.
2. There is a similar looking pattern but the stenciling is in cream and the flowers are definitely different. These are often called Disney Black and Cream Stencil Roses and are not nearly as stunning (my opinion): 
   

Now without further adieu, on to the pricing! As I mentioned above, this pattern is scarce, so words like Hard to Find, Rare, Major Unicorn are actually true in this case rather than just window dressing. Over the past 90 days only 58 of these babies changed hands in adult sizes. TC is clearly the more corny unicorn with just 17 sales to OS's 41.

One Size

• Low - $40
• High - $150
• Average - $89.31

Don't count on scoring these for anywhere close to the low price outlier here. That was probably a used or damaged pair of leggings. Also, the average does not tell the whole story. The format you choose to buy in will dictate your price. The average finishing price on auction style listings in OS was $83.76, compared to $106.50 on Buy It Now or fixed price listings. A difference of $23--that's almost enough to buy another pair of leggings!

Tall & Curvy

• Low - $65
• High - $220
• Average - $117.29

No that's not a typo. Someone paid $220 for this Lularoe unicorn in TC. With only 17 listings to look at, it's hard to say if this is a valid average landing price. But I can definitely say you're going to pay more for these leggings in TC than OS. Same as above, auction style listings finish lower than fixed price, $112.18 average vs $126.66

Buying Advice

The hard part with landing this unicorn at a fair price is the scarcity in the resale marketplace. You may commit to yourself that you want to only pursue auction style listings to come in at a lower finishing price, only to find there are none available. When one of these does pop up, wether auction or fixed price there is going to be a ton of competition. If you truly have to have it, plan on paying over $100 and just bite the bullet, especially for TC.

There have been a small number of mommy and me sets that sold in the $125-$130 range. If you see one of these go ahead and snatch it up immediately! You can keep the adult leggings for yourself and offset the cost by reselling the kids size for anywhere from $35-$45.
