Neon Damask

First, WTH is Damask?

dam·ask
ˈdaməsk/
noun
  1. 1.
a figured woven fabric with a pattern visible on both sides, typically used for table linen and upholstery.

The Neon Damask Ultra Lularoe Unicorn

Neon Damask (not to be confused with Rainbow Paisley Damask or Watercolor Aztec Damask) is a very hard to find pair of leggings for the average Unicorn Collector. It is often presented simply as Neon Damask but may also include any combination of the words Rainbow, Kaleidoscope or Medallions.

Over the past 90 days only 33 of these coveted LLR leggings have changed hands. As you might expect with the scarce supply, the price tends to be high. Note: Neon Damask does come in the kids sizes, which tend to run $40-$55. So if you see an unbelievable deal on this Unicorn, make sure you're not buying tween leggings.

One Size (OS)

  • Low - $71
  • High - $145.50
  • Average - $98
One Size was slightly easier to find, representing 26 of the total 33 transactions. 18 of these sold as auctions and the other 8 were fixed price sales. $71 may seem like quite the outlier compared the high price that went for more than double that. In reality, half of the auctions closed at prices ranging from $71-$86, so it is certainly possible to land this Unicorn well below the average price.

As always, the fixed price listings sold for higher on average, coming it at $106. That being said, there were a few lucky buyers that were able to purchased fixed price at $71, $76 and $90. Your best is to look for auction listings as most fixed price OS will be priced between $105-$135. However, your options will most likely be limited to just a few listings, which can drive auction prices up.

Tall & Curvy (TC)

  • Low - $87
  • High - $227.50
  • Average - $167.68
Certainly a tale of two sizes here. Keep in mind this is a very limited data set with only 7 pairs of TC leggings to look at. All 7 were sold at auction, so you can see that rabid demand is driving the price way up. There is little hope of coming close to the low price of $87 as it is a true outlier. The next closest landing price was $130, and everything else closed north of $150 with two breaking the $225 mark.

If you are looking for these in TC and do happen upon a fixed price anywhere $150 and below, it is (sadly) probably a good buy that should be snapped up right away. If wading into the auction, be prepared to play in $175-$225 territory.

Purchasing Tip

Because these come in kids sizes, you will occasionally see Mommy & Me sets available. If not priced to insanely you can consider snapping one of those up and reselling the tween pair to recoup some of your investment.
